Buyer Tip: If you're the High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder. Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the High Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Standard Time.

Description

Seller's Description:
Exc.Modelo 1891 7.65 Cavalry Carbine

Offered herein is a beautifully conditioned

Model 1891 Argentine Mauser

which appears to be in a cavalry carbine

configuration. This specimen retains

just about all of its blued finish

with just some missing on breech area.

The bore is MINT. The markings are super crisp and the stock almost unissued. This specimen has the shortened barrel and finished front end in cavalry

carbine length (just ending after front barrel band). Chambered for the 7.65 x 53mm cartridge this is a truly beautiful collectible.

  Questions from Auction Arms Users...
(Public)
Q:  Has the top of the receiver been completely scrubbed of it's markings, or is it discolored? 03/03/2010
A:  Top of receiver bright metal. H&H 03/04/2010

(Public)
Q:  Just as a courtesy,This is not a original carbine,2000 meter rear sight.this is a altered rifle. 1400 meter would be correct.Hoping to save you some problems later 03/06/2010
A:  Yes, thank you. Altered at same time as rest of gun. 03/07/2010

(Public)
Q:  Greetings, Your rifle is clearly NOT a calvary carbine! What you have here is a CUT-DOWN RIFLE modified to approximate the looks of the carbine. You should indicate this CLEARLY and not try to pass this off as a more valuable piece. Waffenschmied 03/15/2010
A:  We would ordinarily assume that this was a non-arsenal refinish however we have seen examples like this before. 03/30/2010

(Public)
Q:  Is it possible this carbine has been refinished? The wood looks unbelievably nice. Jim 03/21/2010
A:  We really believe this to be an arsenal refinish. Ordinarily we would say this was non-arsenal however we have seen similar before in this condition. 03/30/2010
