Offered herein is one of

combines the talents and names

of three well-known entities associated

with firearms in the 20th

century- Holland & Holland-the

famed shotgun maker,

Peter Dyson Ltd-well known

antique gunmaking family and Abercrombie & Fitch- the high end New York marketing who supplied many of a fine firearm to its own selective clientele for more than a century.

This is a superb quality recreation of the classic Revolutionary War period British "Brown Bess" 1st Model Infantry Musket used by the British forces against

the colonies in 1776. It was only one of 10 commissioned made by the famed shotgun firm of Holland & Holland in 1976 for its equally well known Abercrombie

& Fitch store in New York City to commemorate the American Bicentennial in that same year. It is exact in every detail and engraved on the lockplate "Holland & Holland"

and on the barrel "Abercrombie & Fitch Set of Ten 1776-1976". Holalnd & Holland selected Peter Dyson Ltd of Yorkshire, England to make ONLY TEN

of these items for the New York concern. It is of course UNFIRED and what is most noteworthy is that it was

crafted with the strength and durability that owners of Holland & Holland would fashion their exquisite shotguns - hence top quality steel barrels (heavier

than the original) and obviously of premium quality. Holland and Holland documents that the company

still owns serial number "1" of this item – obviously attesting to its “unique” status as an item that will NOT BE EVER DUPLICATED AGAIN.. This example is serial number "6". Quite a unique item and combines one's interest in the vintage items but certainly with an eye on the more current association with this famed shotgun manufacturer and would be a centerpiece certainly in any collection – shotgun, modern sporting arms, antique arms, etc. Thanks for looking and please e-mail us with any questions PRIOR to bidding.
